Meet Your Permanent Makeup Artist
Hey there! I’m Stephanie Babb, a licensed aesthetician and permanent make-up artist dedicated to enhancing natural beauty. I graduated from Northern Colorado Advanced Aesthetics Academy in October 2021, and shortly after, I co-founded Studio Glow with my best friend Mariah Vasquez, whom I met during my studies.
My journey into permanent make-up began right after graduation, fueled by my passion for making a difference in people's lives. I have trained with some of the industry's top professionals, including Mary Ritcherson at MRNaturalines, Sviatoslav Otchenash at Sviato Academy, and Kristina Melnicenco at 5 Star Brows. With a total of 11 certifications, I specialize in powder brows, lip blush, and soft eyeliner, while also offering services such as eyelash extensions, brow tinting, shaping, and lamination.
My other passion is being a mom to my two sons who are my absolute world.
My goal at Studio Glow is to help clients embrace their unique beauty and radiance. I strive to create an environment where every client leaves feeling empowered and rejuvenated.
Let’s embark on your beauty journey together! ✨

Questions…
-
1. Consultation & Customization
Every service begins with a thorough consultation where we discuss your goals, skin type, color preferences, and desired shape. We map and outline the area to ensure symmetry and alignment with your natural features.2. Numbing for Comfort
A topical numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild scratching or light pressure.3. Precision Application
Using a specialized PMU device, we carefully implant pigment into the skin using techniques tailored to your selected treatment (powder brows, lip blush, eyeliner, etc.). The process takes about 2–3 hours, depending on the area.4. Immediate Results
You’ll notice a more defined, enhanced look immediately after your session. Keep in mind the color will appear more vibrant at first and will soften as it heals. -
Proper preparation helps ensure the best results and a smooth healing process. Please review the following guidelines before your appointment:
1. Avoid Blood Thinners
For 24–48 hours before your appointment, avoid alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil), fish oil, and other blood-thinning medications or supplements unless prescribed by your doctor. These can increase bleeding and affect pigment retention.
2. No Retinols or Exfoliants
Discontinue use of retinol, glycolic acid, or other active skincare products near the treatment area at least 5–7 days prior. These products can make your skin more sensitive.
3. No Botox or Fillers (in treatment area)
Avoid Botox or fillers in or near the treatment area for at least 2 weeks before your PMU service.
4. Come With Clean Skin
Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face or treatment area. Avoid heavy skincare the day of your appointment.
5. Be Mindful of Timing
Avoid scheduling your service right before a vacation, special event, or sun exposure. There will be a healing period (typically 7–10 days) during which you’ll need to follow specific aftercare and avoid makeup, pools, and tanning.
6. For Lip Blushing Only
If you're prone to cold sores, we recommend taking an antiviral medication (such as Valtrex) 3 days before and after your appointment to prevent a potential outbreak.
7. Eat Before You Arrive
It’s a good idea to eat a light meal before your appointment so you’re comfortable throughout the session.

Healing is a crucial part of your PMU journey—and completely normal! While the specifics may vary slightly depending on the service (brows, lips, eyeliner), here’s a general timeline of what to expect:
Day 1: Fresh & Bold
The area may appear darker, bolder, or more defined than expected—this is normal.
You might experience mild swelling, redness, or tenderness.
Avoid touching, picking, or getting the area wet.
Days 2–4: Slight Scabbing or Flaking Begins
The pigment may begin to oxidize and look darker.
Light scabbing or flaking typically starts during this time.
Keep the area clean and follow all aftercare instructions closely.
Days 5–7: Flaking/Peeling
Scabs begin to flake off naturally—do not pick at them.
The color may look uneven or much lighter beneath the flakes. This is temporary.
Week 2: Soft & Faded
The pigment may seem to “disappear” or look faint. This is part of the skin’s natural healing and regeneration process.
True color will begin to resurface gradually.
Weeks 3–6: Color Returns & Settles
The pigment softens and settles into the skin.
Shape and color become more even, but may still appear slightly patchy or light in some areas.
Week 6–12: Touch-Up Time
A follow-up appointment is required to perfect the shape and color.
This allows us to adjust any areas that faded unevenly and ensure long-lasting, beautiful results.
Important Tips for Healing:
Avoid sun exposure, sweating, saunas, and pools for at least 7–10 days.
Do not apply makeup or skincare to the treated area while it’s healing.
Follow your artist’s aftercare instructions carefully to avoid pigment loss or infection.

es—we highly recommend a consultation before any permanent makeup service.
A consultation gives us the opportunity to:
Discuss your goals, preferences, and expectations
Review your medical history to ensure you're a good candidate
Explain the process, healing, and aftercare in detail
Determine the best shape, color, and technique for your unique features
Answer all your questions so you feel fully informed and confident
Consultations typically take about 15–30 minutes and can be done in person or virtually. In some cases, we can schedule the consultation and treatment on the same day—but it’s important to connect beforehand so we can plan accordingly.
